Making Professionalism a Field and a Force

AMC Toolkits

These best practices recommendations come out of an ongoing study by the Prescription Project's research team, which is based at Columbia University's Center on Medicine as a Profession. With communications and advocacy support from Community Catalyst, the research team is conducting intensive case studies of healthcare organizations with innovative and effective policies for controlling conflicts of interest. The researchers will update their recommendations regularly to incorporate new policies and findings.

The Prescription Project is funded by a grant from the Pew Charitable Trusts. These materials were also made possible by a grant from the state Attorney General Consumer and Prescriber Education Grant Program which is funded by the multi-state settlement of consumer fraud claims regarding the marketing of the prescription drug Neurontin.
